The Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education at the Ministry of Education, Hessa Al-Mutawa, expressed her happiness at the victory of two Kuwaiti students with gold and silver medals at the Arab Championship for Mathematics and Logic Games (ALECSO), which was held in Tunisia recently.
The winners are Sarah Hussein Jamal who won second place and a gold medal, and Youssef Kankuni won the silver, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a statement on the sidelines of a reception held for the Kuwaiti team participating in the competition in the ceremony hall of the Kuwait International Airport, Al-Mutawa stressed on the ministry’s keenness to care for, support and train talented students in scientific competitions to represent Kuwait in all international forums.
Al-Mutawa thanked all those in charge of this competition, including the general mathematics guidance and guidance in the educational areas, for their interest in the outstanding students and providing them with all means of support and assistance in reaching these advanced positions.
