While the Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait, Osama Shaltout, affirmed that the relations between Egypt and Kuwait are strategic and well-established and rooted in the depths of history, he stressed that Kuwait’s national holidays have a great place in the hearts of Egyptians and the Arab world, because they bring to mind the value of joint Arab action and the unity of destiny that must be preserved by children and next generations.

Shaltout said in a press conference that there are 105 agreements governing the relations of the two countries, and they are not new today, but have existed since before Kuwait’s independence and still exist to this day, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Regarding overcoming the difficulties for Kuwaitis investing in his country, Shaltout said that Egypt has recently made great strides in developing its investment legislation.

He reassured investors in Egypt, stressing that the new laws allow the freedom to transfer all profits and the original investment outside Egypt without any obstacles.

He mentioned that Kuwait is in fourth place in the list of the most important countries investing in Egypt, and the value of its contribution to investment projects is about $4.937 billion.
