STEP AFRIKA was founded in 1994 and is one of the largest African-American bands that reflect the diverse cultures of the American society.
During their finale performance at the Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah Theater in Yarmouk, the Chargé d’Affairs at the US Embassy, James Holtsnider, praised the great turnout that the band witnessed with a large attendance from the citizens of Kuwait and its residents.
He further added that the band’s performances in Lapa, The Avenues, Dasman School, and Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah were appreciated and won the approval of the audience.
He also stressed on the Embassy’s keenness to support and promote cultural exchange between the two countries, as a bridge of communication that provides a common ground for understanding.
