Kuwait affirmed at an international quarter that there is a necessity of sport activities in order to build sound communities.

The Kuwaiti view was expressed by the diplomatic attache of the Kuwaiti mission, Mubarak Saleh Abdullah, during a session of the UN General Assembly, discussing the notion, “sports for peace and development.”

Kuwait’s participation in this discussion emanates from its strong conviction in sport’s role for evolving societies, cementing bonds among nations and raising good youth, he stated that Kuwait supports the UNGA to call on nations of the globe to observe “the world day for sports for sake of peace and development.”

The best investment is the investment in human resources, he said, noting that sports help immune the youth against extremism, noting that Kuwait, years back, had formed the ministry of youth and the public authority for youth and sports. He also singled the great role played by the Kuwaiti Club for Disabilities “that has incubated special challenges’ athletes of steel will.” Kuwait through its 2025 vision affirms the women will have a pioneering role in the field of sports.
