The Cabinet decided during its meeting headed by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled to allow sports fans to return to the stadiums with the start of the new sports season 2021-2022, Al Qabas reported.
The council’s decision included allowing those fans who are vaccinated against coronavirus to enter stadiums, provided that the number of fans does not exceed 30% of the total capacity of the stadium while adhering to the health requirements in force with the Ministry of Health during matches and training.
While the Council assigned the Public Authority for Sports to ensure the application of these conditions. Government sources informed the daily that the decision to allow the return of fans to the stadiums will be implemented starting next Friday, the 10th of this month, with the start of the competitions of His Highness the Amir’s Cup.
At the outset of its work, the Cabinet reviewed the contents of the meeting held by His Highness the Prime Minister in the presence of several ministers and leaders in government agencies last Thursday at Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center under the title “Kuwait Beyond the Pandemic”, where His Highness reviewed the government’s efforts during the Corona pandemic.
