Director of Public Relations and Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Tawhid Al-Kandari, warned motorists not to exceed the permitted speed limits when approaching the traffic intersections.
He said the speed limit ranges between 45 and 80 kilometers per hour – meaning at some intersections it is either 45, 60 or 80 kmph and called on motorists to pay attention to road signs to avoid fatal accidents.
Al-Kandari told Al-Rai the general traffic department will identify the violators with the help of traffic cameras.
