The Council of Ministers in Kuwait has recently approved a draft decree for voters to elect members of the National Assembly on Tuesday, June 6th. An informed source has revealed that the Elections Affairs Department will officially open the nomination door from Friday morning until Sunday, May 14th.
In light of the upcoming election, the Ministry of Interior is working on forming special security teams to monitor the electoral race and any potential violations that may disturb the democratic process. The high-level security committee, which includes a number of leaders, has been formed to set up a mechanism to follow up on the success of the democratic process while ensuring the absence of any violating manifestations.
