Cooperative stores in Kuwait are abiding by the partial curfew, the head of the Union Of Consumer Co-Operative Societies Meshaal Al-Seyar said on Sunday. However, goods will be delivered to houses during the curfew time by volunteers in each residential district, where consumers pay for the delivered goods by k net.

Special permits will be issued for the volunteers. Workers can obtain special permits from the ministry of interior and stay inside the stores during the curfew. The ministry will also provide work permits for workers who deliver food, however restaurants must remain shut during the curfew. Supply stores open at 8 am and close at 4 pm.

Friday will be an official holiday. The union said the special measures are in compliance with the cabinet decision to impose the curfew amid the emergency circumstances in the country due to the pandemic, coronavirus.
