The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Muhammad Al-Aiban, has issued a ministerial decision to form a special committee to study proposals to remove obstacles to the development of the Kuwaiti capital through proposals, mechanisms and necessary solutions in this regard.

The daily added, on the committee are members from several government agencies, reports Al-Rai daily.

The ministry said in a press statement that “the terms of reference of the committee include setting plans to develop the market and proposals and mechanisms in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and examining the indicators to measure the competitiveness of the Kuwaiti capital market.”

The ministry added the committee has the right to seek the assistance of whomever it deems appropriate to perform its tasks, in addition to moving to the relevant authorities and reviewing all documents and data related to the subject, and the relevant authorities must facilitate the task of the committee in performing its mission when asked to do so.
