National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim stated Tuesday that the parliament will hold a special session on September 10 to vote on a no-confidence motion against Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anas Al-Saleh. After discussing a grilling motion against minister Al-Saleh, Al-Ghanim announced that ten MPs have submitted a no-confidence motion against the interior minister. As per regulations, the vote on no-confidence shall not be held before seven days of the motion filing date, Al-Ghanim said. Thus, the vote would be held in a special session on Thursday, September 10, he announced.
