On the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of National Day and 30th Anniversary of the Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait it gives me distinct pleasure and honor to convey, on behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of South Africa, warmest wishes and sincere congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the members of the ruling family, government and people of the State of Kuwait.
The year 2020 was a challenge for all humanity with the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and through the hardship endured by the global community, we realised the true value of our international partnerships. In this regard, South Africa wishes to reassure the State of Kuwait that it will continue with its current efforts to consolidate the bilateral partnership between the two countries and further enhance the excellent friendship that exists between the Republic of South Africa and the State of Kuwait.
Furthermore, I would like to take this opportunity to convey to His Highness, the Amir, best wishes for good health and long life, as well as success and prosperity to the friendly people of the State of Kuwait.
