On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of South Africa, and the Staff of the South African Embassy in the State of Kuwait, I am pleased to convey to His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah Prime Minister, the Government and the people of the State of Kuwait warmest greetings and sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 58th National Day and the 28th Liberation Day of the State of Kuwait.

South Africa values the good bilateral relations with Kuwait that based on shared values and a joint commitment to a better life for the peoples of South Africa and Kuwait and a better and peaceful world for all. This commitment continues to be practically demonstrated in High Highness, the Amir’s continued commitment to provide humanitarian assistance to distressed communities and countries in conflict globally, especially in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Furthermore, Kuwait continues to play a constructive role in the GCC, the Middle East and the United Nations Security Council to promote conflict prevention, peaceful resolution of conflicts, the rule of international law and multilateralism.

It is a good coincidence of history that South Africa and Kuwait are serving together as non-permanent members of the United Nations Security Council to advance our joint commitment to international peace, security and development. We wish His Highness Sheikh Sabah AlAhmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the people of Kuwait good health, peace and prosperity.
