The Corona virus is here to stay, according to several doctors, who said in a televised interview that the virus may not end or disappear in the near future like other viruses, but it may become a season virus, but at the same time they say they are optimistic that the pandemic can end only if people get vaccinated on a wider scale.

The head of the preventive medicine team at the Ahmadi Hospital, Dr. Intisar Al-Hindal, said, “The vaccination of more than 90% people throughout the world, will change the pattern of life when it comes to dealing with the Corona virus, and with time, the virus will be treated like any other virus for which the vaccination will be available.

Family medicine consultant at the Ahmadi Hospital, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Malik, there are some viruses that are cured with one or two doses every year, but it will be too early to talk about similar treatment for Covid mutations saying the local situation in Kuwait is linked to the global situation, so the pace of vaccinations in the world must be accelerated to prevent new mutations.

He said vaccinations still provide good immunity above 90% for the ‘Delta’ mutant, but there is nothing to prevent a new mutation, and said the vaccinations will not be effective in terms of community immunity, and for this we can say there is a kind of race between humans to reach community immunity to prevent this virus mutating.

Pediatrician at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital, Dr. Zainab Al-Sahhaf, said “first thing first and this means we must reduce transmission and this will reduce the emergence of new mutagens, and the only have lies in vaccinating the largest segment of society if we want to see the back of the pandemic.
