Starting next Sunday Kuwait will not allow foreigners to enter the country if they are not vaccinated but this rule is not applicable to Kuwaitis who can enter the country even if they are not vaccinated citizens and can travel and return to the country.
Special statistics prepared by Al-Rai shows citizens who did not receive the anti-Coronavirus vaccine or received just one dose are classified as not immunized but still can travel to 45 countries.
According to information obtained from official sources or embassies in Kuwait, the majority of these countries require only a negative PCR test before entering while some others insist on negative PCR test and mandatory quarantine after arrival while the third category of the countries allow foreigners to enter without any conditions.
On a related level, the General Administration of Civil Aviation, in a circular addressed to all airlines operating at the Kuwait International Airport, confirmed that entry for non-vaccinated people is limited to citizens only.
The sources stated that, according to the instructions of the health authorities, “all passengers are allowed to leave without any health requirements related to the Corona virus, provided that the health conditions for entering the country to which they are leaving for are met.”
The DGCA said although nin-vaccinated Kuwaitis are allowed to enter they must submit a negative PCR test certificate to prove they are free from the “Corona” virus. The PCR test must have been done no more than 72 hours before taking the flight.
