The Acting Assistant Undersecretary for the Financial and Administrative Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Badr Al-Adwani, revealed some contracts will be renewed and new contracts will be signed tor some important services related to the work of the ministry in general, and serving the residents of social welfare homes in particular, adding that the total financial cost of these contracts was approximately 2.3 million dinars for 3 years.
Al-Adwani told a local Arabic daily that these contracts are for cosmetic agriculture, electricity maintenance, and firefighting, explaining that regarding agriculture contracts, the current contract has been extended, and responses to inquiries from the Audit Bureau are being completed to start signing the new contract worth 500 thousand dinars, and with regard to the electricity maintenance contract the contract was awarded to the lowest bidder for 500 thousand dinars.
Regarding the firefighting contract, he indicated that it is in the process of signing and completing the procedures with a total value of 1.3 million dinars, divided by 580,000 for the contract of care homes, and 730,000 for the rest of the ministry’s escorts.
