The Environment Public Authority announced that it had issued 14,235 environmental violations in 2021, of which 5,827 were referred to the Public Prosecution, while reconciliation was accepted in 4,467 other violations.
The authority explained 714 violations were issued in restaurants, cafés, and food supplies stores and 842 for persons for disposing of waste of kinds of waste in non-designated areas, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The source stated 730 violations were recorded against fishermen inside Kuwait Bay. The authority said 8,172 violations were issued against individuals for smoking in public places.
