Following the approval of the law by the concerned authorities to allow non-graduate expatriates who are 60 years and above to renew their work permits for a fee in addition to the health insurance cover provided by the private insurance companies, 42.2 million dinars are expected to be generated in the first year.

Informed sources told Al-Anba this is the volume of revenues that will be generated after implementing the decision to renew work permits of this category of people, including 14 million dinars as fees for renewing work permits and 28.2 million dinars to be paid to insurance policies by about 56 thousand residents are expected to benefit from this Public Authority for Manpower decision.

In the same context, other sources indicated that until the end of the working day yesterday, Wednesday, the documents had not been issued so the residents could start renewing their residence permits, as the companies which are authorized to issue the documents are still in the preparation stage and submit the documents to the Insurance Regulatory Unit for their inclusion on the list of approved companies.
