Kuwait Security Officers arrested 6 Kuwaiti teenagers in contact with the terrorist organization ISIS, who are discovered to have been deceived into converting to the ISIS ideology, Al Qabas daily reported. The teenagers apparently came into contact with the member through a videogame.

During the raids, some of them were found in possession of firearms, and several computers were confiscated which contained correspondence with the terrorist organization. Senior sources told Al-Qabas that the Kuwait Security Forces raided a house in the Ahmadi area, after obtaining permission from the Public Prosecution, and arrested a teenager who was in communication with the terrorist organization for some time. He was referred to the investigation office of the Juvenile Investigation Department.

The sources added that under interrogation, he admitted that a person communicated with him through a popular videogame, by joining his team during the game. After a week, the terrorist representative communicated with him through social media, and persuaded him to embrace the ISIS ideology, then asked him to draw ISIS flags inside his room of his family’s home.

This was followed by a request for financial support and to recruit the rest of his friends. The sources indicated that the accused spoke to one of his close friends, narrated to him what happened, and eventually convinced him to join him in embracing the ISIS ideology. The last accused convinced four of his friends in turn. The sources revealed that the security services managed to arrest the rest of the accused, and referred all of them to the competent authority, and investigations are still ongoing.
