Sheikha Hussa Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the Director-General of Dar Al-Athar Al-Islamiyyah (DAI), arrived in Macao city, southeast China, on Saturday, as a representative of Kuwait in the Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF). The annual gathering will open tomorrow and last until October 15. It aims to promote exchange and discussions for the sustainable development of the global tourism industry.
Sheikha Hussa is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the gathering where she will highlight the role of diplomacy of culture and public awareness in promotion of the tourism. She will be accompanied by Kuwait Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China Sameeh Hayat and Consul General in Hong Kong Salah Al-Saif. GTEF has been established as an international platform for unrivaled numbers of the world’s shareholders to network and discuss business opportunities in the tourism sector.
