The Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah in a statement said that the “Honorable Al-Sabah family has blessed the recommendation of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God preserve and protect him, to appoint Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah as the new Crown Prince of Kuwait.”
His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al Sabah, (born 1940) is a half-brother to His Highness the Amir and the son of the 10th ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He is currently the acting Minister (by protocol designation) and Deputy Commander of Kuwait National Guard.
