An official oil source said the appointments of CEOs of oil companies and the formation of boards of directors have been postponed until further notice following the government resignation last week.
The source told a local Arabic daily that the KPC board of directors ruled out appointing senior leaders in the oil sector at this difficult political time that the country is going through, noting this will give the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation more time to look for potential senior officers and members of the boards of directors later after the formation of the new government.
On the other hand, the source indicated that the KPC and its subsidiaries will stop the promotions and appointments as well.
