A traffic policeman was run over by another security officer who was angered at being issued a citation for violating traffic rules. The officer later surrendered to the security authorities.
The incident is reported to have happened when the traffic cop stopped the officer for violating a traffic law. After checking the ID, the victim discovered that the motorist was a Kuwaiti officer working at the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences. While issuing a citation against the traffic offense, the suspect started his car and escaped after knocking down the traffic policeman.
The victim then called for help to the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior and paramedics who arrived on the scene immediately shifted him to the Adan Hospital. Three hours after the incident, the suspect appeared at the Mangaf Police Station and surrendered himself to the authorities.
