The Ministry of Health revealed the latest updates on Tuesday

Saudi Arabia has reported the detection of new coronavirus cases, bringing the kingdom’s tally of infections to 89,011, the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday.

Twenty-four COVID-19 patients have died in a single day, the highest number of fatalities reported since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. This brings the country’s death toll to 549.

The ministry also announced the recovery of 1,484 COVID-19 patients after receiving treatment, raising to 65,790 the total number of recovered cases.

A total of 12,285 infections have been reported in one week, the ministry’s spokesperson said during the daily press conference.

UAE confirms 596 new coronavirus infections

The United Arab Emirates, on Tuesday, confirmed 596 new coronavirus infections, taking the total number in the gulf state to 35,788.

The UAE news agency (WAM) quoted the ministry of health and prevention as saying in a statement that three people died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 269.

It pointed out that the total recoveries in the country climbed to 18,726 after 388 patients recovered from the disease.

The infections discovery came through conducting more than 35,000 new tests on different groups of citizens and residents and using the best and latest medical examination techniques.
