Fifteen people infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) died raising the tally of deaths from the lethal germ in the kingdom to 390.

The official spokesperson of the Saudi Ministry of Health Dr. Mohammad Alabdulali said in his daily briefing about the status of the contagion in the kingdom, on Sunday, that the health authorities recorded 2,399 new infections cases, thus a total number of the contamination cases amounted to 72,560.

He put the overall number of recoveries at 43,520 after recording 2,284 new recuperation cases. There are 372 critical cases receiving treatment at intensive care wards.

Qatar: Two COVID-19 deaths, 1,501 infections

Qatar announced on Sunday two more novel coronavirus deaths raising the toll up to 23.

In a press statement, the Ministry of Health also reported 1,501 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 43,614 cases.

It also estimated recoveries from the virus at 657, putting the grand total at 9,170.
