Saudi Arabia sustained 23 more deaths due to the fatal bug, the novel coronavirus, raising the death toll to 503 since the outbreak of the contagious disease in the Gulf state.

Saudi Ministry of Health said in its daily report about the contagion in the kingdom, on Sunday, 1,877 persons tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19), increasing the count to the staggering level of 85,261.

It put total number of recoveries at 62,442 after registering 3,559 patients cured of the contagious disease.

UAE: coronavirus deaths reach 264

The United Arab Emirates declared on Sunday sustaining two new deaths with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) raising total of fatalities with dreaded pathogen to 264.

UAE Ministry of Health said in a statement the deceased had suffered from complications from the virus in addition to other ailments of chronic nature.

It said 661 people tested positive for the virus to bring the whole cases to 34,557.

The ministry also reported that 386 people recovered from the virus, thus the overall count of the recuperated amounted to 17,932.
