A Royal Saudi Air Force F-15S fighter jet fell as a result of a technical malfunction during a routine training mission in the King Abdulaziz Air Base training area in the Eastern Province.
The jet crash was declared on Monday by the official Saudi Press Agency, citing the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense Brigadier General Turki Al-Malki.
Brig. Gen. Al-Malki said the aircrew, consisting of two officers, have survived the incident after using the ejector seat and that no injuries, nor ground damage were recorded.
An investigation committee has commenced its tasks to uncover the details and reasons behind this incident, added Al-Malki.
