The Saudi authorities Saturday thwarted an attempt to smuggle more than 141,000 Captagon pills, which were found hidden in the luggage of travelers heading to the Kingdom with the intention of performing Umrah.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority at the Haditha port managed to thwart an attempt to smuggle more pills.
The authority said: “While taking customs procedures for passengers of one of the buses coming to the Kingdom through Al-Haditha port, 141,831 Captagon pills were found in the luggage of two passengers. The pills were placed inside plastic gallons, containing olive oil, where the pills were hidden in an artistic way inside the gallons.”
