Ten people suffering from infection with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) died in Saudi Arabia in past 24 hours, the official spokesman of the ministry of health said on Wednesday.

Dr. Mohammad Al-Abdulali said in his daily briefing about the pandemic that the death toll rose to 283 and infection cases reached 46,869.

Number of recovery cases increased to 19,051 after recording 1,429 new cases, he said, adding that 156 patients were in critical condition.

Qatar: 1,733 new cases, recoveries at 213

Qatar announced, on Thursday, recording 1,733 new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 28,272 cases.

According to the Health Ministry, recoveries from the virus were at 213, putting the grand total at 3,356.

The ministry indicated that the new infections were sent to quarantine to receive proper medical treatment.
