Saudi Arabia announced, Saturday, five deaths from the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number to 92.

According to Health authorities, infections hit 8,274 with 1,132 new cases.

Recoveries in Saudi Arabia are at 1,329 after 280 individuals overcome the disease.

In the Kingdom, there are 78 cases under intensive care.

Qatar declares 8th fatality from coronavirus

Qatar on Saturday declared the eighth death due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in addition to registering 345 new confirmed infection cases.

Qatari Ministry of Health said in a statement the single fatality was of a Qatari, aged 59, who had suffered a cardiac arrest.

Total number of contamination cases climed to 5,008, mostly of expatriate workers who had been quarantined.

A small proportion of the cases belonged to citizens and residents, who had mingled within families or at work.

The new cases were placed in total quarantine and given necessary medical treatment, the ministry statement said, adding that there were 46 new registered recoveries, with the total of such cases amounting to 510.
