The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday confirmed eight new novel coronavirus deaths, taking the toll up to 152.
In a press statement, the health ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammad Al-Ali also announced that 1,266 people have tested positive for the deadly virus in the past 24 hours, raising the aggregate number of infections up to 20,077.
He pointed out that 2,784 patients have fully recovered from the virus, including 253 in the past 24 hours.
UAE reports seven COVID-19 deaths
The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention on Tuesday announced seven more fatalities due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), raising its death toll to 89 so far.
The ministry, in a press statement, also reported 541 new infections with the virus, bringing this Gulf country’s total number of cases up to 11,380.
Some 91 patients have been recovered from the highly contagious virus, raising the total number of recoveries to 2,181, the ministry added.
