At a time when the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced that it will open the door to perform Umrah for everyone, an official source in the Ministry of Awqaf revealed that the Kingdom’s decision does not include the bedoun (stateless people). A local Arabic newspaper quoting the ministry source confirmed that the Ministry of Awqaf is looking to address the concerned Saudi authorities on the possibility of allowing the bedoun to perform Umrah and discuss any requirements that the Saudi Ministry of Hajj may request in this regard.

The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, had said earlier yesterday, “On this day two years ago, Umrah was stopped due to the epidemic, and now it is available to everyone.” On his official Twitter account he said, “Praise be to God for his grace, book your Umrah pilgrimage at any time you like through the application. Makkah and Madinah are waiting for you eagerly.”
