Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, spokesman for the Ministry of Health, said the ministry through the unified government application for electronic services, Sahel, is now offering new services under the guidance and follow-up of the Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed and Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mustafa Reda.

In a press statement Al-Sanad stressed the new services enable the medical staff, including doctors and members of the supportive medical professions, to obtain the added services conveniently. This, he said, comes as a follow-up and continuation of the efforts of digital transformation, and mechanization of health services in line with the 2035 vision — a new Kuwait.

Director of the Department of the Undersecretary’s Office, Engineer Ahmed Al-Gharib, explained the user of Sahel application can now view and download personal data, renewe the license to practice his/her profession, ask for health fitness certificate for food handlers and changing the job title for health workers, and a certificate of good conduct.

Al-Gharib explained that one of the added services is also the ability to display ‘Covid-19’ vaccination data, and update the data of the Covid-19 vaccination certificate ‘matching the name and passport number’.

He referred to the support of Dr. Al-Saeed and Dr Reda to all the paths of digital transformation of services in the ministry, in which great strides have been made. He stressed that the coming period will witness the addition of new electronic services, to facilitate the references.
