A restaurant in Salmiya was issued a commercial fraud violation for using expired ingredients and foodstuff when preparing meals for its customers, and Arab daily reported. The inspectors of the Ministry of Commerce conducted an investigation on the establishment and discovered a large quantity of expired food and meals packed up and ready for distribution.
The officials seized the spoiled items, in cooperation with the General Authority for Food and Nutrition, and a report was filed pertaining to the violations to the Ministry of Commerce for commercial fraud, the food items’ missing country of origin, as well as the failure to list down the meat used in the menu. The commercial control team completed the legal procedures against the violating restaurant.
