The First Labor Chamber of the Court of Appeal ruled in favor of a Romanian teacher working for a private model education school. The court decided that the teacher was entitled to all benefits and awarded her 14 thousand dinars in compensation.

Attorney Abdul Rahman Ayesh Al-Enezi appeared on behalf of the appellant and demanded all special labor rights for his client in line with the text of Article 30 of the Labor Law, which stipulated a minimum period of time for the employment contract.

Al-Enezi explained some weak-minded employers force their employees to sign employment contracts, including conditions that violate the law, believing that the contracts will protect them from labor claims.

However, the Labor Chamber in the Court of Appeal upheld the law without any regard to the conditions contained in the employment contract, which were in violation of the provisions of the law.

The court affirmed in the merits of its ruling that the peremptory texts in the law do not allow individuals to agree otherwise.
