The Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity – one of the centers of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences – announced the opening of registration for qualifications for the International Robotics Competition, which will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, from Nov 17 to 18.

The center’s general director, Nada Abdullah Al-Daihani, said: “Sabah Al-Ahmad Center is pleased to announce the opening of registration for Kuwaitis, who possess talent and creative ideas, to participate in the qualifiers for this international forum, as registration will open from today until October 3, 2023 for Kuwaitis 14 and 15 years old, of both sexes, via the link available on the center’s Instagram page @SACGC_kw.”

Al-Daihani added, “The aim of participating in such events comes within the framework of the center’s continuous endeavor to encourage and motivate students, hone their skills and develop their culture and information in the field of manufacturing and developing robots, in addition to enhancing the culture of innovation and creativity, and benefiting from strengthening the culture of robotic science and technology.”

Al-Daihani said: The center will provide the necessary training courses. To equip the participating teams, qualify them, and prepare them on how to design, build, program, and control the robot; To enter into challenges with participating teams from other countries, the best 3 teams will be selected from the qualifying participants for this global competition.
