The Public Authority for Youth announced the opening of registration for the “Valley of Youth” program which is being organized for the third year in a row and includes many activities, including courses and scientific workshops in the fields of technology and programming, in order to develop youth skills in the era of digital transformation.

Acting Deputy Director-General of the Youth Development Sector, Dr. Mishaal Al-Janoubi, told a local Arabic daily the “Valley of Youth” program, which is being held at the Palaces Youth Center, is for young people between the age group of 7 and 35 years, interested in science, technology and scientific research and offers courses, training workshops and panel discussions in artificial intelligence, robotics laboratory, electronics, space, astronomy, scientific research programs and other sciences.

He stated that the project comes out of the Authority’s keenness on the state’s direction towards digitization and empowering youth in the technology sector for the benefit of them and society, and in an effort to provide various spaces to embrace youth energies and direct them towards contributing to advancing the development wheel in the country.

He indicated that the courses will start on January 8 and continue until the end of next March, and include 32 different courses in the youth centers affiliated with the authority, in addition to field visits to schools in cooperation with the Ministry of Education through the mobile laboratory “Fab Bus”, in order to familiarize students with the workshops offered by the program.

Al-Janoubi called on Kuwaiti youth to register for the courses, which will be free of charge, through the “Valley of Youth” portal on the authority’s website.
