Kuwait plans to offset the domestic workers crisis between Kuwait and the Philippines by bringing in domestic workers from Sri Lanka, noting that their contracts are about 200 dinars less, and arrival to Kuwait is faster.

This comes following the announcement of the Philippines to temporarily suspend sending its workers to Kuwait, domestic labor recruitment offices in Kuwait announced the availability of an available alternative that could fill the void and keep up with the demands of citizens and residents for domestic helpers at the present time, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The well-informed sources told the daily several recruitment offices said between two and three newly arrived Filipinas per day are leaving the country, while the owners of recruitment offices revealed they plan to provide an alternative that can fill the void in this area.

Meanwhile, the Al-Durra Company for Domestic Labor revealed a new batch of female workers is arriving from Sri Lanka at previously announced prices, which are 650 dinars, not including the ticket, in addition to another batch of domestic workers (driver/domestic worker) at 180 dinars, including the ticket.
