Qatar on Friday reported 1,311 new infections with the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and 84 additional recoveries. This brings the total number of cases of the globally spreading virus to 20,201, which are mostly expat workers infected with the bug due to close contacts with previously unveiled patients, the Qatari Ministry of Health said in a statement. The confirmed cases were put under quarantine in different medical facilities, the ministry said, adding that the count of recoveries has risen by 84 to 2,370.
