Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim Al­Thani has received an invitation from Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al­-Saud to attend an urgent Gulf Cooperation Council summit on Thursday.

GCC Secretary­General Abdullatif Al­Zayani delivered the invitation for the event, scheduled to be held in Makkah, to Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al­Thani, Qatar’s state news agency reported.
