Parliament Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim and a group of deputies presented a compensation bill for the owners of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Al Qabas daily reported.

The Daily reported that the law stipulates the payment of compensation to SMEs, who bore losses due to coronavirus crises.

According to the proposal, the compensation amount would be determined based on compensation reports. The money would be deposited in the bank accounts of the owers.

Sources confirmed that the cost of this proposal would not put a burden on the state, noting that its approval would save 23,000 families from the crisis resulting from the closure decisions.

Compensations would cover salaries, Rentals, Suppliers’ expenses, Maintenance expenses, and Contributions of Kuwaiti workers to the Public Institution for Social Security.
