The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Community Development, Abdulaziz Shuaib says two contracts have been signed for the supervision and implementation of a project to – establish, complete and maintain a center for the treatment of drug addicts.

In a statement to Al-Qabas, Shuaib said the project shows the keenness of the National Projects Committee to serve the Kuwaiti society.

He added the project area is 6,720 square meters and will be built in the Al-Sabah Health Area, consisting of 5 floors and ground parking, at a total cost of 3.295 million dinars.

Shuaib pointed out that this project, which is expected to be completed in 24 months, comes within the framework of the participation of the shareholders of consumer cooperative societies with the Ministry of Health to confront the phenomenon of drug addiction that threatens society.
