The representative of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, arrived in New York City, the United States of America, today at the head of the Kuwaiti delegation to participate in the meetings of the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Upon his arrival, he was greeted by the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the United States of America, Sheikha Al-Zein Sabah Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah, His Excellency the Permanent Representative of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations, Ambassador Tariq Muhammad Al-Bannai, and members of the embassy and delegation, reports Al-Rai daily.

In a press statement upon his arrival, His Highness the Prime Minister expressed his pride and appreciation for the distinguished partnership and close relationship that links the State of Kuwait with the United Nations and its affiliated organizations and the development it has witnessed in achieving the lofty goals of the United Nations and its efforts aimed at maintaining international peace and security.

His Highness stressed the continuation of government efforts to implement sustainable development goals that are consistent with the country’s national development vision, noting the State of Kuwait’s keenness to continue effective partnership and constructive cooperation with the United Nations.

His Highness the Prime Minister pointed out the keenness of the State of Kuwait to actively participate in the work of the current session and to intensify joint work in cooperation with member states with the aim of reaching collective solutions regarding various pressing international challenges and issues and achieving a better future for the peoples of the entire world.

He stressed the State of Kuwait’s commitment to continuing its international efforts in supporting development and human rights, spreading the culture of love and peace, mediation in resolving regional and international conflicts, and providing humanitarian aid to afflicted and needy countries.
