The Interior and Defense Committee of the National Assembly has given the nod for police force to carry camera attached to their uniforms while on duty to help them work in total transparency that will give credibility to both parties – the protectors of the law and the alleged suspect, especially the former to ensure they do not abuse their power while on duty.
This came following a proposal submitted by MP Hisham Al-Saleh in the best interest of the securitymen and the general public when implementing law, reports a local Arabic daily.
