Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, Fahd Al-Shoula, has presented a set of crucial recommendations to the Council of Ministers aimed at resolving the issues plaguing the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. These recommendations include addressing the population structure imbalance, enhancing security and traffic management, and curbing existing violations. Additionally, plans involve the development of the primary and internal road networks, as well as modernizing infrastructure elements such as electricity, water, and sanitation, reported Al Jarida Daily.

To provide housing support, the utilization of plots 19 and 20, previously expropriated without specific designated purposes, is being considered. Furthermore, the health system is slated for improvement and development. In the event of comprehensive area development to align with surrounding usage, expropriation at a total value of 1.4 billion dinars for 1409 private and 136 investment plots is proposed. This would be carried out under the provisions of Article No. 6 of Decree-Law No. 86/131, relating to the expropriation of real estate for which expropriation formulas have been issued. The Council of Ministers is empowered to issue these formulas in cases of utmost necessity for public interest, upon request from the relevant authority and recommendation from the Minister of State for Municipal Affairs.

The proposed plan entails several key actions to address the challenges in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area. Firstly, labor cities and residential zones for workers will be transferred following Municipal Council decisions. Simultaneously, the expropriation and evacuation strategy for the region will commence.

Efforts will be directed towards restructuring the area in a more organized and urban manner, in line with its strategic location. This includes strategies to create demographic balance, resolving issues related to existing Arab houses, and rectifying common problems found within them. The road networks both within and surrounding the area will be reconfigured to align with developments in neighboring regions.

Additionally, service levels within the region will be elevated through the establishment of public facilities and essential services that correspond to the proposed new functions and uses envisioned for the area.
