As the vaccine is expected to arrive soon in the country, authorities are inclined to allocate three venues as vaccination centers for citizens and residents, reports AL-Anba Daily.

Sources told the daily that two of the venues are in Ahmadi and Al-Jahra governorates to serve the residents of those areas, and the residents of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.

The third and the main venue is in Mishrif to serve the governorates of Hawalli, Al-Asimah, and Al-Farawaniyah.

The vaccination will be free and optional, and the appointment is via electronic reservation to ensure that there is minimum crowding.

The priority will be given to the elderly, people with chronic diseases, and those groups who are most vulnerable to infection, such as health care providers, front-row workers, and basic service providers. The vaccination will be given in two doses, between 21 days.

The sources said that the Public Authority for Civil Information is currently compiling data for people according to  2 age groups.  One from 18 to 55 years and another 56 years and over, in all governorates of the country.

The data would be provided to the committee to prepare and implement the appropriate mechanism for vaccination.
