A member of the Board of Directors of the Pharmacist Association, Mohammed Al-Enezi, confirmed that the main priority in the coming period for the Pharmacists Association is to review the laws regulating the pharmaceutical profession and the circulation of medicines, an Arab daily reported. The review is being done through the joint committee with the Ministry of Health, hoping to reorganize the profession and correct some of the practices. This came in a press statement after a meeting with pharmacists at the lawyer’s office, Nahes Al-Enezi, pertaining to forming the Board of Directors of the Pharmaceutical Society.
Al-Enezi expressed appreciation to fellow members of the Pharmaceutical Society for accepting the invitation at the father’s office, and for their presence and honor in the court, noting that the first meeting had been held, and some priorities of the stage were discussed. He also welcomed colleagues from outside the Board of Directors to participate in the committees that will be proposed and formed in the coming period.
Member of the Board of Directors of the Pharmaceutical Society, Abdulaziz Al-Jadaan, said as the Board of Directors of the Pharmaceutical Society, they are facing great challenges at all levels, and a heavy legacy, whether in the governmental or private sector, which requires numerous legislations, and a review of the allowances and increases of pharmacists and their salaries.
He added the need to create job opportunities by activating scientific offices, and empowering pharmacists by combining the public and private sectors as “part-time work”, in addition to focusing on pharmaceutical security and localization of the pharmaceutical industries.
He called on the need for cooperation in the Board of Directors and leaders in the relevant ministries to strive to use all available channels to deliver the pharmacist’s voice and demands, and to defend their rights and benefits, in a way that serves public interest.
