The percentage of new Coronavirus infections recorded a record decrease, falling to 4 percent, and the number of cases in intensive care decreased to 265, Al-Rai daily reported.
The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, announced the registration of 596 new infections with coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases registered in the country to 402293.
Al-Sanad told Kuna that five deaths were also recorded, bringing the total number of deaths to 2,361.
He added that 961 cases of recovery were recorded, bringing the total number of people recovered to 390,759, indicating that the percentage of total recovery cases out of the total injuries amounted to 97.13 percent.
He stated that the number of those receiving medical care in the intensive care departments reached 256 cases, while the total number of cases that were confirmed to be infected and are still receiving the necessary care reached 9173, and the total number of cases in the Covid 19 wards reached 726.
He stated that the number of swabs that were conducted during the same period amounted to 14,903, bringing the total of tests to 3,486,175, indicating that the percentage of infections for the number of these swabs is 4%.
Concerning the percentage of injuries in the governorates, Al-Sanad said that it amounted to 29 percent in Ahmadi, 24 percent in Hawalli, 23 percent in Farwaniya, and 12 percent in Jahra and the capital.
He renewed the call to continue to take preventive measures, avoid contact with others, and ensure physical distancing, recommending visiting the accounts of the Ministry of Health and official authorities in the country to see the instructions and recommendations and everything that would contribute to containing the spread of the virus.
