PepsiCo announced the launch of 100% recycled plastic Diet Pepsi containers in the Kuwaiti market, as the company seeks to expand its efforts to provide sustainable alternatives to packaging materials in the GCC countries, and this step comes in line with growing collective awareness and increasing regional government initiatives that are aimed at promote sustainability.

“Pepsi” will be the first beverage brand in Kuwait to offer 100% recycled plastic containers that are locally manufactured in the country, through its famous low-calorie brand “Pepsi Diet”, with the aim of contributing to advancing the circular economy in the country and reducing packaging waste.

The new Diet Pepsi cans will be available in a size of 2.25 liters, to allow consumers to get a refreshing drink in a more sustainable package. This step comes at an important stage in the history of Kuwait, as the country seeks to divert 80% of waste away from landfills by 2035.
