The Public Authority for Youth has taken a significant step to support the country’s youth and nurture their creative capabilities. In this regards, the authority recently launched a comprehensive “workshop package” that covers various creative fields, with the aim of providing opportunities for young Kuwaitis to develop their talents and skills.
The Director of the Creative Production Department at the Authority, Saleh Al-Salami, announced the initiative, emphasizing the Authority’s commitment to supporting Kuwaiti youth and providing them with avenues for growth. The workshop package includes specialized courses in collaboration with experts and specialists from various creative artistic sectors, reports Al-Rai daily.
The first workshop of the current season, titled “Drama from Idea to Implementation,” was conducted in cooperation with the esteemed director, Muhammad Daham Al-Shammari.
The workshop delved into various aspects of the director’s role, including personality, cultural background, and the impact of social diversity. Participants also explored various topics and issues that contribute to a director’s awareness and help solidify their creative footprint in the industry.
Following the success of the drama workshop, the Authority organized an “Art of Acting” course, led by the talented artist Abdullah Al-Turkmani. This course aimed to contribute to the development of Kuwaiti youths who have a deep passion for the art of acting.
In another exciting addition to the workshop package, art critic Abdel Sattar Naji conducted a workshop on “Film Criticism.” This workshop provided insights into the world of film critique, allowing participants to explore the intricacies of analyzing and evaluating cinematic works.
Director Al-Shammari expressed his appreciation for the Public Authority for Youth’s role in organizing such specialized workshops. He highlighted how these workshops offer an enriching experience for ambitious young participants, both male and female, who possess a keen interest in artistic and creative pursuits.
Abdullah Al-Turkmani also praised the acting course, recognizing its potential to nurture the capabilities of Kuwaiti youth who aspire to make a mark in the field of acting.
