Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al Budaiwi, joined GCC Interior Ministers, including Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Lt. General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah bin Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, Hamoud Al Busaidi, and Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled in a commemorative photo taken during the meeting in the capital of the Sultanate of Oman.

During the meeting, held in Muscat, the Interior Ministers of the GCC countries approved the unified Gulf tourist visa project. Additionally, they launched the first phase of electronically linking traffic violations between GCC countries, reports Al-Anba daily.

The unified Gulf tourist visa is set to be implemented before 2025. It will enable the citizens of GCC countries to enter all six countries, emphasizing enhanced cooperation, coordination, and integration among member states.

Meanwhile, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled, in his address at the meeting, reiterated Kuwait’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

He also emphasized the significance of cybersecurity to safeguard gains from digital transformation and protect countries from electronic fraud.

Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled highlighted the relentless efforts in combating the illicit trade of poisonous substances over the past two years, resulting in unprecedented seizures in terms of quantities, types, and new methods. The commitment to eradicating this menace remains steadfast.
